Nan worked as a school aide for several years, beside students who learned in different ways, before she started Buoy. She runs the placement visits and teaches Floating and balance at the warm-water pool.

Every instructor holds the checks on our safety page: lifeguard, water-safety instructor, CPR and first aid, and a background check.
Flo Hogan
Instructor, Getting in and settling
Flo teaches Getting in and settling and Kicking and pulling at the warm-water pool, and she is often the first face a new swimmer meets.
Errol Prosper
Instructor, Strokes
Errol coached a high school swim team before he joined Buoy. He teaches Strokes and Longer swims at the high school pool and in the summer weeks.
Mayank Mittal
Instructor, Moving on your own
Mayank teaches Moving on your own and Floating and balance, and he is in the water beside every swimmer in his class.
