Your first visit
Four steps from the front door to a class
A placement visit is a short time at one of our pools. A parent or caregiver stays for all of it.
- 01
Step 1: Book a time
Choose a time on our enrollment page, or call. Tell us the swimmer's age and anything you want us to know first.
- 02
Step 2: Tell us what helps
We ask how your swimmer likes to get in, what the water and the room should feel like, how we should talk and show, and who stays within reach.
- 03
Step 3: Get in the water together
Your swimmer gets in by the way you chose, with an instructor or a caregiver beside them. We try a few things, watch how each feels and go at your swimmer's pace.
- 04
Step 4: Leave with a level
The instructor suggests a level and a session, and we show you the classes with room.
What to bring
A towel, and whatever helps
Bring a swimsuit or swim shirt, a towel and a change of clothes for after. Goggles, a cap, a favorite float or a picture card are welcome if they help. If your swimmer uses a mobility device, we plan where it waits at the pool.
